Meet Steven Holcomb
Olympic Gold Medalist & 5x World Champion

Steven Holcomb is currently one of the world’s top bobsled drivers and the leader of both the two and four man American teams. In 2007 and in the prime of his career, Steven revealed to his coach Brian Shimer he was going blind from a degenerative eye disease called Keratoconus.

After receiving a revolutionary new treatment in 2008 to restore his vision to 20/20, Steven and his “Night Train” crew of Steve Mesler, Justin Olsen, and Curt Tomasevicz went on to dominate the World Cup circuit. They continued the momentum by winning the 2009 4-man World Championship and then the coveted Olympic Gold Medal at the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver, the first time in 62 years for the United States.

In November 2012, Steven released his autobiography “But Now I See”. In the book he reveals intimate details about his journey from living with deep depression to a restored sense of faith and hope to attain his lifelong dream of winning Olympic Gold.

In addition to his intensive training and competitive schedule, Steven is currently studying Computer Information Systems at DeVry University. He also has earned multiple professional IT certifications with both Microsoft and CompTia.
